About your guide
Rafa López Rafa has been guiding walking groups through the Axarquía since 2018. He is a certified mountain guide with the AEGM and UIMLA, and has worked with international walking holiday companies in the region. He knows these trails, these villages and this landscape the way only a local can. On a walk with Rafa, you’ll go further than any map could take you.

La Tienda Nueva is a small guesthouse in the white village of Cómpeta, ideally located for walking holidays in southern Spain.
From here, you can explore the Axarquía region on foot, following ancient muleteer paths, mountain trails and historic water channels that connect whitewashed villages and natural parks.
Walking holidays are designed and guided by a local mountain guide and adapted to the season, the group and the weather, offering a relaxed but rewarding way to discover Andalusia beyond the tourist routes.

Route from Malaga bus station to Cómpeta, both ways. 4 journeys per day. The journey time is 1 hour and 40 minutes from Malaga. There are different stops. See the link for the timetable.
